I got this model second hand, The helicopter has been well made with no scale detail, so after a few flights I desided to fit some scale detail, aerials, door hands, pilot tubes, heat sensors, exhaust pipes and lights. I also had some decals made, as the heli was painted when I got it I had to find a real heli to match the colours. I found one not to far away operated by Helistar.

Helicopter Details:
Vario Jet Ranger 1:6.5
Sky Fox Mechanics / gearbox reduction ratio 10:1
OS max-61-Hring Engine
3 X Hitec Metal gears on swash
Futaba 401 Gyro/S9254 Tail Servo
CSM Revloc 10 Governor
Spectrum AR9000 Reciver with 2 Remote Receiver
Vario 660mm Jawo rotor blades
On board SwitchGlow Pro.
While flying at Midland Helicopter Club Scale weekend in August last year, I landed heavy after the OS 60 engine cut out.
As a result the tail boom was chopped off, along with other damage. So the Jet Ranger was striped down and a list of parts ordered, in the mean time the fuselarge was collected and taken away to be repaired and painted.

While I had the Jet Ranger out of action I desided to fit a scale cockpit, as the fuel tank is fixed on the front of the mechanics, right where the cockpit goes, I had to move /change the fuel tank.
After much head scraching and a while on line I found two Sullivan 8 oz ( 236cc ) oval tanks which fit perfect into the gap between the fan housing and the fuselarge. These are linked as you would a headed tank and work fine. Saying that I had to change the tank vent.

Now thats done I can start on the cockpit, which was ordered and arrived from John at Vario UK.
This has to made up and painted to suit your model.
